State Missions Offering – TPIM

2011/20012 marks the 9th year of the Tennessee Cooperative Baptist Fellowship’s state missions offering.   Over the past eight years, congregations across Tennessee gave over $200,000 through Tennessee Partners in Missions, and Tennessee CBF distributed every penny of those offerings directly to designated ministries across the state.  We celebrate all the recipients of these funds and the significant ways the “least of these” were served.

At the TCBF General Assembly this year, we approved a new approach to our state missions offering.  The new offering, now called Tennessee Priorities in Mission (TPIM), maintains the original intent of the offering to help these ministries be the presence of Christ to the needy in Tennessee.  We intentionally reduced the number of ministry recipients this year in order to fund priorities discovered during our strategic journey.

This year’s offering goal of $25,000 supports the following ministries:

Your church decides when to promote this offering (any time between now and June 30, 2012).  You may wish to highlight TPIM in the fall when the church promotes state mission opportunities, in the spring when North American missions are highlighted, or at another time during the year.  Whenever you promote TPIM, we stand ready to assist you with promotional materials, envelopes, and speakers.
