Before beginning his ministry with CBF Tennessee in October 2016, Rick served as Pastor at First Baptist Church of Elkin, NC. Prior to serving as a pastor, Rick served on the staff of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Global in Decatur, GA for nearly nine years.  Originally from NC, Rick is a graduate of Campbell University (B.A., Religion and Christian Ministries, 1994) and Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond (M.Div., 1998).  He earned the Doctor of Ministry degree from Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond in 2008 with a focus on Christian spiritual formation.
